SEEING HOMES DURING COVID-19 "YELLOW" STATUS

"Yellow doesn't mean that it's safe, it just means that there's room for you  in the hospital."

I heard that quote on the news, & it really struck me. Lawrence County was one of the first counties in Pennsylvania to go into "yellow" status. I was packing up all the items I needed to show homes the next day - gloves, Lysol, extra CODIV forms, & I thought to myself, "It's either asinine that we need all this stuff - or - it's asinine to go outside when all this stuff is needed!"

I don't really know what to believe, but here is what I DO know - I want my family, friends & clients to stay safe. If this is what the CDC says we need to do - okay, then! A good Realtor (& PERSON) would never ask anyone to go against any rules set in place for personal safety. With that in mind, it's important now more than ever to know what's required when you want to go out & see homes:

BEFORE:
1. Try to do as much research on a property as possible & drive by all potential listings to negate homes that really aren't of interest.
2. 24-hours before seeing any home, you should be asked to complete 2 forms: COVID-HSA & COVID-PAN.

3. Pack your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Mask, Gloves, Foot Coverings (Walmart bags count, folks!)
4. Use hand sanitizer.

DURING:
1. Only 1 person is allowed to enter a property with the Realtor at a time.
2. Put on your PPE before entering the home.

3. Do not touch anything in the house.
4. Limit your time in each home.

AFTER:
1. Your Realtor will disinfect anything that they needed to touch (doorknobs & light switches.)
2. Use hand sanitizer.

If there's anything that you need, I'm always here & happy to help!
